Man, it makes me so sad. A Woman. Educated. Professional. Web-savvy. And yet….
You are a follower of Glenn Beck. A man who is intent on bending the truth. A man so obvious that his company is presented on the his web page right up front with his bent political leanings.
I had hope for young, educated women. Women like you. People who could be balanced. The fact that you support the Tea Pary…is scary. Scary.

I’m not sure if you intended to sound passive aggressive and patronizing in your comment, or if it just came off that way. I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt and hope that, in your eyes, you were expressing your opinion, rather than feigning concern for me because I follow Glenn Beck.

In any case, I believe my personal views on Beck are clear from my original post, so I don’t need to elaborate further on that. What I would like to respond to is your insinuation that the fact that he is up front about his political leanings is negative. Beck is not a reporter. He is a commentator. And, shouldn’t we applaud those who are up front about their political convictions, as opposed to those who claim to be giving us straight news but in reality are picking and choosing facts and providing their own spin on the issues?

Also, because you mention Beck and the Tea Party movement in the same comment, I have to wonder whether you’re confusing the tea parties and the 9/12 project. The tea party movement is completely separate from the 9/12 project and from Beck. And unless you’re a Washington politician, who is finally being forced to answer to constituents, I don’t see how there is anything ‘scary’ about it at all. Tea partiers don’t necessarily agree on everything. But, they do agree that it’s time for citizens to get engaged and for the government to listen to the people it represents. What don’t you like about that? Perhaps you should spend some time familiarizing yourself with what the tea parties stand for. Talk to someone who’s attended a tea party or a town hall. And then ask yourself if you still think these everyday Americans are ‘scary.’
